Postnatal Care

When you return home after delivery, if you have any problems you should contact  your GP.

Your Public health nurse should call shortly after you return home.

All babies should be seen by the GP at 2 WEEKS and at 6 WEEKS old.

All mothers require a post natal check-up six weeks after the birth. This will be carried out by your GP.  Please let reception know this is what you are booking so they can allocate more time for your appointment.

Your baby will require a BCG vaccine shortly after birth given in your local health centre (not your GP surgery)

Baby should have their first vaccinations at 8 weeks at your GP surgery.
