2 Week Old Baby Check
This is a free service.
The doctor will examine mum and baby.
This gives mum and dad an opportunity to ask any questions they may have.
Write down any queries you may have before you come.
Please advised reception staff that you are booking a 2 week check so they can allocate more time to you appointment.
6 Week Old Baby Check
The 6 week old baby check is a free service.
At this check the doctor or nurse will test your baby’s development, vision, hearing , heart, lungs, hips and growth.
They will do health promotion, discuss immunisations, nutrition, and any other concerns you may have.
Please let reception know you are booking a 6 week check so they can allocate more time for your appointment.
Childhood Vaccinations
Children and young people with a valid PPS number are entitled to certain immunisations free of charge. These are provided in our surgery, in your local health clinic or in school.
Immunisation is a safe and effective way to help the body prevent or fight off certain diseases.
Parents must consent to vaccinations for children and young people up to the age of 16. Vaccination is not compulsory, but is strongly advised by the Department of Health. You should discuss any concerns you may have with us before making a decision about your child’s immunisation.
