Fairview Medical Centre is located on Fairview Strand in Dublin 3 D03F8C2.
Dr. Ronan Cormican, Dr. Frank Broderick, Dr. Fiona McGlynn and Dr. Sinead MacEoin are the principal doctors.
Dr John Lappin RIP, Dr. Pat Lee RIP & Dr. Peter Kelly (Retired) originally founded the practice some 60 years ago.
It is conveniently located close to Dublin city centre and the surrounding suburbs of Marino, Clontarf and Drumcondra.
We are an experienced team of family doctors and nurses. We provide holistic and patient centred care to people of all ages and backgrounds. We strive to provide excellent care for all physical and mental health needs of our patients. Fairview Medical Centre is a practice of 4 GPs, 2 nurses a phlebotomist., Practice Manager and an experienced administration support team. We are a training practice with two GP Registrars. Our GP’s are all registered with the Irish Medical Council and are members of the Irish College of General Practitioners (ICGP).

We are an experienced team of family doctors and nurses. We provide holistic and patient centred care to people of all ages and backgrounds. We strive to provide excellent care for all physical and mental health needs of our patients. Fairview Medical Centre is now a practice comprising of 4 GPs, 2 GP registrars, 2 nurses and a phlebotomist. Our GPs are all registered with the Irish Medical Council and are members of the Irish College of General Practitioners (ICGP). Out reception staff will do their very best to help direct your queries.
We are committed to ongoing training, regular attendance at meetings and attending conferences. Continuous medical education (CME) ensures we remain up to date with the latest medical teaching, understanding and procedures.
We are a training practice for doctors from the North eastern training scheme and Dublin Inner city training scheme.

Meet Our Doctors
Dr Ronan Cormican
MB DCH DRCOG DDerm MICGP
Ronan graduated from UCD in 1997. He completed his GP education following training in Paediatrics, General Medicine, Emergency Medicine, Ophthalmology, ENT, Psychiatry, Obstetrics and Gynacology. During his GP training he achieved diplomas in Child health, Obstetrics and Gynacology, Dermatology, and a certificate in Medicine for the Older Person. He joined the practice in 2004.
Ronan became a GP trainer in 2010.
Ronan is on the medical councils specialist register. Medical council number 21227.
Ronan is a full member of the Irish College of General Practitioners.
Dr Frank Broderick
MB BSc MICGP DipMSK
Frank graduated from Trinity College Dublin in 1999.
He joined the practice in 2006.
He completed his GP education following training in Psychiatry, Medicine for Older Age, ENT surgery, Oncology & Palliative care, Paediatrics and Emergency Medicine. Frank has achieved a certificates in palliative medicine, sexual health and musculoskeletal examination and injury management.
Frank is on the medical council’s specialist register. Medical council number 23060.
Frank is a full member of the Irish College of General Practitioners and is a member of the North Dublin faculty of the ICGP
Frank is fully participant and up to date with his continuing medical education.
Frank works regularly in D.Doc Out of Hours GP service.
Dr Fiona McGlynn
MB BCH MRCGP
Fiona graduated from Trinity College Dublin in 2001. She completed her GP education following training in England. During her GP training she achieved diplomas. She joined the practice in 2008.
GP stated her GP training in Ireland then completed in England 2006 where she worked for 2 years before returning to Dublin.
Fiona Joined Fairview medical centre in 2008.
Fiona is on the medical council’s specialist register. Medical council number 60484.
Fiona is a full member of the Irish College of General Practitioners and is fully up to date with her continuing medical education.
She has a special interest respiratory medicine and travel medicine providing a travel medicine health service.
Fiona works regularly in D.Doc Out of Hours GP service.
Fiona is married with 2 children.
Dr Sinéad MacEoin
MPharm MBBS MICGP DRCOG
Sinéad graduated from Imperial College London in 2008. She worked in Norfolk and Cambridge University hospitals before returning to Ireland to commence her GP training in 2009. She graduated from the TCD/ HSE specialist training programme in 2013. As part of her training she worked in medicine for the elderly at St James’s Hospital, general medicine, endocrinology and A&E at The Mater hospital Dublin, paediatrics at The National children’s hospital Tallaght, obstetrics and gynaecology at The Coombe and psychiatry at St Patricks and St Edmundsbury Hospital. Sinéad has a special interest in women’s Health, chronic disease management and dermatology. She holds a diploma in obstetrics and gynaecology and certificates in contraception and dermatology. She completed a masters degree in pharmacy in 2001 prior to studying medicine. Sinéad has enjoyed teaching medical students from UCD on their clinical placements. She regularly works in North Doc out of hours. She is a member of the Merrion faculty and North Dublin faculty of the ICGP and participates in continuing medical education. Sinéad is on the medical council’s specialist register and is a full member of the Irish College of General Practitioners.

Fairview Medical Centre is a teaching practice. We are affiliated to the North Eastern and North Dublin Inner City GP training schemes. Each year 2 new GP registrars work with us. A GP registrar is a fully trained doctor who is specialising in General Practice. Dr Cormican and Dr Broderick are the practice trainers.
The registrar is a wonderful asset for the practice. It allows us to provide more appointments for our patients, and it keeps us all up to date with current practices and developments in medicine.

Oonagh Langan
Nurse – Fairview Medical Centre
Oonagh joined the practice in 2005. She did her nurse training in Beaumont hospital and became a practice nurse in 1999. Oonagh has a special interest in Diabetes, chronic disease management, Smoking cessation, Women’s health and Baby health.
Oonagh is married with 3 children.
Geraldine Ó Scanaill
Nurse – Fairview Medical Centre
Geraldine joined the practice in 2011. She did her nurse training at the Richmond hospital and Midwifery training in the Rotunda. She became a practice nurse in 2001. Geraldine has a special interest in diabetes, chronic disease management, weight management, diet and lifestyle, smoking cessation, Female health, men’s health and Baby health.
Geraldine is married with 5 children.
Helen Griffiths
Phlebotomist
Helen joined the team in 2015. She previously worked in the catering trade. She retrained as a medical receptionist and has gone on to train as a phlebotomist. She splits her time between clinical and administration and helps out wherever she can.

Deirdre McKenna
Operations Manager
Deirdre joined the Practice in 2000, and had already acquired extensive experience and knowledge in General Practice and IT Teaching Skills, and was engaged in providing IT Corporate Training Services for Global Companies in the Food and Medical Diagnostics sectors.
Deirdre is responsible for the day to day effective Management of the practice. This requires a diverse range of skills and responsibilities from overseeing all Clinical/Administration/IT Systems/Data, Accounting & Finance and to Management of Staff. Deirdre is passionate about working in General Practice, is committed to the ongoing development of her knowledge/skills and being aware of emerging primary health care trends and developments in best General Practice.
Since 2000 Deirdre has played a key role in supporting the Partners in the growth and development of the Practice. She has represented the Practice on National IT Healthcare Initiatives including the initial role out of Healthlink in 2006. Deirdre continues to contribute to National Software Development Pilots (e.g. Socrates & Medvault) which also benefits Doctor/ Patient Care. Deirdre has implemented and maintains the Practice IT Systems, Admin Systems and Staff Skills Development to ensure optimum Clinical support and Patient Care Services.
Outside of work Deirdre enjoys spending time with her family, walking, yoga and Latin American dancing.
